RNA lifecycle

The lifecycle of RNA molecules within every biological sample is dictated by interconnected molecular events that determine each individual RNA’s purpose and fate. Among others this includes transcription and processing of RNA molecules, interaction with proteins and other RNAs, RNA editing, the translation of RNA into proteins, and the final degradation of RNA. Understanding the individual steps of the RNA life cycle is crucial to study in health, and also in the plethora of diseases across the life sciences where RNA metabolism is implicated.
